Pastor Dennis Gilbert Sr. I was born in 1956 and raised in this area and as a teenager was saved at Fellowship Baptist Church of Elkton. As a young man God began dealing with me about preaching his precious word and I preached my first message at Charlestown Baptist Church when I was 17 years old. I enlisted in the Navy, married my wonderful wife Deborah and started our family in 1973. After completing military service we returned home and I went to work for Amtrak where I have worked for over 30 years. I fully surrendered to the Lords will and returned to Charlestown Baptist Church after helping to start another church and working there for several years. In 2001, I became pastor of Charlestown and count it a blessing and privilege to serve the Lord here. I do not believe I could pastor a group of people who are as supportive and loving as the folks I’ve been blessed to worship with. Together with the members of the church we have seen soul’s saved, hearts touched and lives transformed by the grace of God. It’s my desire to be used of the Lord to his glory as he continues to work in the lives of the people of our community. |

Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church was establish in 1953. We are an Independent Missionary minded Fundamental Baptist church using only the King James Version of the bible. As the Pastor, I would like to thank you for visiting our web site and offer a cordial invitation to you to visit with us in person.
